Spain - Barcelona
Barcelona is Spain’s second largest city with 1.6 million inhabitants. The city is the capital of Catalonia, located on the charming Spanish Costa Brava coast to the Mediterranean Sea, and is understandably one of Europe’s most popular travel destination. Barcelona offers both good beaches, nice harbor areas, delicious restaurants, ideal shopping opportunities at La Rambla, great sports events and, not least, outstanding architecture with Antoni Gaudí as frontman.
A sled ride down La Rambla, where you can look at the many beautiful shops or enjoy some tapas at one of the many sidewalks. The street is a coolest mix of a lively business life, Spanish food culture as well as connoisseurs who attract tourists with the craziest costumes and creative shows.
La Sagrada Familia. A fascinating church, which has not yet been completed but has been the backdrop of most postcards from Barcelona for many years. The church highlights the sky as an example of Antoni Gaudi’s unique architecture, and is considered by many as his absolute masterpiece.
If you want to go to sports, you should visit FC Barcelona’s huge stadium Nou Camp, where one of the world’s best football teams can entertain almost 100,000 people per game.
Barcelona has a typical Mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers with average temperatures around 20-25 degrees, and mild moist winters with average temperatures around 10 degrees.
