One of Hamburg’s landmark is the Reeperbahn in St. Pauli, which is probably one of the most famous redlight districts in the world. Here you can experience everything from vaudeville to prostitutes, bars and sex shops. It is relatively safe and many tourists come to experience live music, theater, musicals or other non-sex related activities. It is worth pointing out, however, that is likely to be accosted by prostitutes offering their services.
In the large shopping area at Mönckebergstraße west of Hamburg’s central railway station you can find all the major international brands of clothing, shoes, electronics, food type and that the heart could desire. Close to Mönckebergstrasse are the churches St. Jacobi and St. Petri.

In Palacio de la Virreina, today seat of the culture department of the regional government, frequently you can see expositions of art. Impressive is Casa Bruno Cuadros with its dragon at the front. You arrive to Plaça Reial, a beautiful square with arcades, palms, fountains and luxurious shops.
