After several hours of historical enlightenment and fascinating architecture, you are guaranteed to have a nice meal or something to drink. Here the old market at Monastiraki is recommended. The market is a short distance from the Acropolis and offers plenty of life, good Greek taverns and exciting shops.
Athens has a subtropical climate with warm summer months, where temperatures are between 25 and 30 degrees. The winters are mild with temperatures between 10 and 15 degrees.
